NextGen Gaming gambling provider

History of NextGen Gaming

The company was established in the Australian city of Sydney. As NextGen Gaming it appeared on the gambling market in 1999, which is considered the year when the firm started its operations. In the beginning, the company was involved in adapting the land-based casino games for online casinos and was very successful in that, as well as earned a lot of money, which allowed the company to enter such a promising segment of the market as game development.

NextGen Gaming now holds just about every gaming license in the world, including those important to the industry, such as licenses from the governments of Curacao, Malta, Cyprus and Sweden, approval from the British Gambling Commission, integrity certificates from iTechLabs and IDQ. The company eventually moved from Australia to Europe. NextGen Gaming is now headquartered in London, with some structural units in Stockholm and Malta.

Key milestones in the company’s history

Since its founding until 2001, the company was primarily engaged in the adaptation of land-based casino games for online resources. But it was also involved in the creation of new games in cooperation with a number of other providers.

The period from 2002 to 2010 can be called a transition stage and development of the company as an independent gambling provider. During this period NextGen Gaming obtains all basic licenses and permits required to operate in gambling business.

In 2011, the company merges with another large and influential provider, NYX Gaming. This has both seriously promoted the brand globally and significantly increased profitability.

In 2012, together with NYX Gaming, the company developed its first social casino based on the Facebook social network.

In 2018, the company became part of Scientific Games Corporation, where it remains today.

NextGen Gaming’s developments

When the company first started out, it was supposed to create games for land-based casinos, but the rapidly growing popularity of the internet and the transition of much of the gambling business to online has forced a change of plans. The company realized that the most lucrative area in gambling would be online casinos. However, some games from NextGen Gaming can be found in land-based casinos but the main sphere of the company’s activity is online gambling.

NextGen Gaming’s developments have beautiful and very elaborate visuals, as well as colourful and memorable soundtracks. Some games have two versions – full and simplified for not very productive computers and mobile devices.

To date, the company has created more than 220 games, most of which are slots. But there are also interpretations of well-known table games: Blackjack, Baccarat and roulette.

The RTP (return to player) of slots from NextGen Gaming ranges from 92% (“Gorilla Go Wild”) to 97.87% (“Starmania”). The record for this part among the company’s products belongs to the table game “BlackJack Pro Atlantic City MultiHand” – 99.12%.

In terms of volatility, the company’s developed slots such as Wild Run and The Wild 3 have the highest probability of winning. Most of the reel spins are effective. The biggest payout is in Cool Bananas. There, the winnings can be up to x5000 of the bet.
